Today we must remember the sacrifices given
in order to defend our freedoms against tyranny.
But let us also not forget the young people who
have surrendered their lives fighting in unjust wars.
The soldiers who are still unable to receive their
benefits for service to our country. We must remember
the young men and women so badly damaged by conflict
that they take their own lives in a final act to find peace.
We must honor the memory of all these soldiers
by exercising one of our most precious rights.
The right to speak up against WAR. The right to stand
up to our own government and question why
WAR is necessary. We honor their memory
by holding our politicians accountable
for littering our land with headstones
and memories of children whose futures ended
before they had a chance to begin.
Let us honor our fallen today by shouting
NO MORE WAR!
